Van Gogh's Wheatfield with Crows

While most of Van Gogh's paintings are breathtaking, each and every one is uniquely awe inspiring. Here's his Wheatfield with Crows, shown at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam:

One of Van Gogh's last works created in 1890, it's all about the power of the landscape. Some argue that the landscape is menacing and stormy, and the path leads to nowhere, hinting to Van Gogh's imminent suicide, while others say that Van Gogh felt soothed by the landscape's greatness. Either way, it is a powerful image with striking contrasting colors and brushwork.
