This vintage woodblock print is from Japan, originally published in a book called "Masterpieces selected from the Ukiyoyé school - Vol4" housed in the Carnegie Mellon Posner Center Library. ("Tajima, Shiichi, 1869- ed.")
This fishing scene is a Japanese Woodblock Print, showing a figure catching a fish, pulling it up from the dock with a big swish, fish in air, ready to be brought home for dinner. There are two other figures in the foreground, one a child pointing at fighting kittens. The Japanese figures are dressed in traditional old-fashioned Japanese robes, and they're sitting on the dock as boats go back and forth in the background.
